Here at Shades Of Blu, we don’t just train your dog.  We set out to give you all the information you will need to succeed with your dog, and keep them as healthy as possible both mentally and physically!

We HIGHLY recommend all of our clients watch the documentary called “PetFooled”. You can purchase and view this documentary on Amazon Prime for $1.99.

We can back everything that is mentioned in this documentary as tried and true for our personal dogs, our fosters, as well as hundreds of clients who have made the change to a healthier diet for their dogs.

We recommend a raw, air-dried, or freeze-dried diet for your beloved pet. This will enhance their mood, behavior, mental stability, training focus, overall health, digestive functioning, skin & coat, dental health and more!

The information that is readily available online, and naively given by most rescues, shelters, breeders, and even veterinarians is extremely skewed by the misleading and damaging multi-billion dollar pet industry.

Kibble is the worst diet you can feed your dog. The processing it undergoes, the added fillers, and the sourcing of the products in the food are extremely unhealthy and even harmful to your pet. It is the human equivalent of feeding your dog McDonalds or Burger King for every meal! It is not a coincidence that the majority of dogs in America are overweight, unhealthy, and have behavioral issues.

For our West Coast clients, we currently recommend Maxota Raw, Halshan Raw and/or Rebel Raw, and for our East Coast clients, we currently recommend Rebel Raw.

If the raw meat thing freaks you out, we recommend Sundays For Dogs or  Ziwi Air Dried Dog Food.

If you are unable to afford raw, freeze-dried, or air-dried dog food for your pet, we recommend Carna4 (any blend) or Open Farm – these brands have the least fillers and the healthiest ingredients we could find after extensive research. We also recommend rotating proteins and different blends within whichever brand you are purchasing for your dog(s).

Please do your research and be extremely dilligent and responsible when selecting and/or preparing your own raw blends and/or cooking for your dog. There are specific percentages of meats, bones, organs, fruits and vegetables, and vitamins that you need to provide for your dog for their meals to be complete and balanced.  Having the values wrong could harm, or even kill your pet. We are here to help you select the best diet for your dog should you have any questions or concerns about changing or adding to their current diet.
